General Meeting

The next HAG general meeting will be held on 24th November, 2010 at 19:30 in the Little John Inn, Hathersage.

The agenda is as follows:
  1. Apologies
  2. Update on progress with:
    • lease
    • footpaths
    • landscape design
    • funding / donations / subs
  3. Poll of intended allotment holders and size of plot required (½ or ¼ standard plot size i.e. 120m2 or 60m2); plot sharing
  4. Outline of work to be done and call for volunteers
  5. HAG blog - you know about this already!
  6. AOB
  7. Next meeting (AGM April)
Any member is entitled to appoint another person as a proxy to exercise all or any of the member’s rights to attend and to speak and vote at a general meeting of the Company using a form supplied by the company and it must be received at the Company Secretary’s postal or email address not less than 48 hours before the time for holding the meeting.

Our allotment site

After much research into sites all around the village and conducting a detailed feasibility study (please ask if you would like a copy), HAG has been offered lease of a site off Baulk Lane. HAG has been exploring ideas about the site with members and local residents, it is hoped that there will be a variety of different sized ‘plots’ and communal facilities available to individual residents or groups in Hathersage and Outseats.  HAG has raised money to pay a Community Landscape Architect to take all of these ideas and draw up a detailed plan of the proposed site.
We are currently waiting to sign the lease on the land which will allow us to get going with the site planning and preparation. Watch this space for more updates.
